About Me

Real Estate History & Awards

Licensed with Iowa Realty from 1993 to 1999 in WDM, Iowa, I had the opportunity to work as a builder representative that exposed me to several levels of “home buyers”. It was with these opportunities that enabled me to reach my several years of recognition in the area’s Multi Million Dollar Producers Club. The large city real estate environment was thrilling to say the least.

In 2000, I opted to finish raising my daughter in a smaller community, Decorah. My Larson family moved away from Decorah to Des Moines in 1963. I was back frequently visiting family and attending the annual Nordic Fest. It was Nordic Fest 2000 that opened my eyes to the perfect community to finish raising my daughter in. The best move I ever made for both of us.

As of January 2010, I am Vice President of the Northeast Iowa Board of REALTORS, with over 180 members, it looks to be a challenge…a good challenge.

The success I had in a larger metropolitan area, during my first years of real estate, has helped me to recognize where my true talents are…..Call it listening skills, a needs assessment, or a lifestyle analysis, I praise myself in finding the best home for my customers.  Decorah maybe small but each corner has a personality all to it’s own.

Family, Community, History & Awards

Outside of my real estate work in Decorah, I am interested in everything! From watching Frontline and Masterpiece Theater productions to attending classes through Center on Sustainable Communities. I love to eat, therefore I love to cook. My daughter says I am a “food snob”…so, I garden a bit, and like different wines a bit.

Staying on top of what is happening by attending ‘Sustainable Decorah’ meetings and how its members affect our community . I consider myself to be a caring citizen and like to “contribute” when I can. And, buying local is an effort I practice.

I have been married to Tom Massman since 2006, he is a successful home builder in Decorah. Besides his many interests in area’s of construction, he is an experienced equestrian.

The proud mother to my darling daughter Jaci Wilkinson. In high school Jaci was active in Orchestra, Cross Country, Speech/Drama and Mock Trial, and excelled in academics. Jaci is in her second year at Luther College, and is an accomplished Cellist. Jaci and I have a special relationship.

Jordan and Travis, Tom’s son’s love of the outdoors and horsemanship paid off with his son’s accomplishments in Champion High School Rodeo competitions.

Jordan (Kayla) works for Tom Massman Construction full time, and is a volunteer fireman and licensed EMT driver for Winneshiek Medical Ctr, Jordan has a wonderful wife Kayla.

Travis (Stacy) also works for Tom Massman Construction full time, and is the father to little McKinley Kay (she’s a keeper). Travis is an accomplished bow hunter, so, he better like to sit! Stacy is a really good mom, and likes to socialize.
